Romario, a Brazilian federal deputy and former Seleção striker, didn’t hold back in his criticism of FIFA President Joseph Blatter and Secretary General Jerôme Valcke. He accused Valcke of being an expert in sports blackmail and didn’t hesitate to express his disdain for Blatter, calling him a thief, corrupt, and a son of a bitch.
In his remarks to ESPN Brasil, Romario emphasized the need for Brazil’s national team to succeed on the pitch but lamented the losses and ongoing problems associated with FIFA off the field.
