Francis Amuzu’s time at Anderlecht is coming to an end as he prepares for a new chapter in Brazil.
The 24-year-old winger has taken the final steps in his transfer process, saying goodbye to his teammates and returning his club-issued car. According to transfer journalist Sacha Tavolieri, Amuzu is set to board a flight to Brazil to finalize his move to Grêmio.
Amuzu, valued at €4.5 million by Transfermarkt, has been a key figure for Anderlecht since signing his first professional contract in August 2015. He made an immediate impact, scoring the winning goal on his professional debut in a 1–0 victory over K.A.S. Eupen in December 2017.
The winger gained European experience in the UEFA Europa League, making his continental debut against Spartak Trnava in 2018. Over the years, he has reached significant milestones with Anderlecht, making his 50th league appearance in 2019 and his 100th in a clash against Sint-Truidense V.V.
So far this season, Amuzu has featured in 18 Belgian Pro League matches, contributing two goals and two assists.
