FIFA has indicated that the 2013 Confederations Cup, a prelude to the 2014 World Cup, could be played in four stadiums instead of the initially planned six. The final list of stadiums will be revealed on November 8 in Sao Paulo, and cities like Rio de Janeiro, Brasilia, Belo Horizonte, and Fortaleza are expected to be included. FIFA Secretary General Jérôme Valcke expressed concern about delays in the construction of some stadiums, particularly the Arena Pernambucana in Recife, where progress is estimated at 64% eight months before the competition.
