Bradley Barcola set to travel to Liverpool as PSG greenlight transfer

Bradley Barcola is expected to travel to Liverpool on Saturday after Paris Saint-Germain gave the winger permission to move closer to completing his transfer.

Although the deal has not yet been formally announced, the final stages appear to be underway.

Liverpool and PSG have reportedly agreed a package worth up to €140 million, including bonuses. If confirmed at that figure, Barcola’s move would become the biggest transfer ever involving a player leaving Ligue 1, surpassing Neymar’s €90 million switch from PSG to Al-Hilal in 2023.

The former Lyon winger has already agreed the main terms of his Liverpool contract. His trip to Anfield is expected to focus on final contractual details and preparation for a medical once the clubs finish the remaining paperwork.

Barcola is leaving PSG after declining to extend his contract in the spring, a position he reportedly maintained after the World Cup. He remained a valued member of Luis Enrique’s squad, even if he was not always selected to start the biggest matches.

Liverpool see the two-time Champions League winner as a major addition to their attack and hope he can help fill the void left by Mohamed Salah’s departure. For Barcola, the move presents a chance to test himself in the Premier League.
