Bradley Barcola delays PSG future talks until after World Cup

Bradley Barcola will wait until after the World Cup before discussing his Paris Saint-Germain future, with the winger fully focused on France’s campaign for now.

Reported by Olivier Tallaron, the situation has become one of the summer’s quieter but most closely watched storylines at PSG.

Barcola has attracted interest from Liverpool and Arsenal, while PSG have spent months trying to extend his contract, which currently runs until June 2028. Even so, the 23-year-old has not asked to leave and has simply requested that all future talks be put on hold until the tournament is over. That gives him room to concentrate on the national team without the noise of transfer speculation.

According to other reports in France, his priority is regular playing time, which makes the next phase of his career especially important. PSG still believe he will stay unless he personally asks for a move, and club officials remain confident he remains a central part of Luis Enrique’s long-term plans.

Barcola joined Paris Saint-Germain for a reported €45 million fee on August 31st 2023, signing a five-year contract with the club. He was assigned the number 29 jersey. On 3 September, Barcola made his debut as a substitute in a 4-1 away win over his former club Lyon.
