Ugandan boxer Sharif Bogere is facing frustration as his scheduled WBA lightweight world championship fight against Cuban Richard Abril on November 24 in Ontario, USA, has been canceled. Bogere suffered a partial rupture of his Achilles tendon during training, which will require four to six weeks of recovery, preventing him from participating in the upcoming bout. The WBA title remains vacant, and negotiations are underway to reschedule the fight. Despite the setback, the undefeated 24-year-old boxer, nicknamed “The Lion,” continues to train in Las Vegas, Nevada.
