Bouzouk leads in passes: Latest insights from the Moroccan professional football league
Sofascore, a platform dedicated to player and league statistics worldwide, has recently shared its latest findings regarding the Moroccan Professional Football League up to the 24th round, marking the latest twist in the competition for the league title.
According to the source, the league leader, accumulating 58 points by the 24th round, boasting the strongest attacking line with 53 goals, also holds the highest goal conversion rate (16 percent), possession rate (62.3 percent per game), successful passes (11,328), and shots on target (338).
Algerian player Yacine Bouzouk, from Raja Casablanca, tops the list of players with the most key passes in the Moroccan league this season, with 46 passes, followed by Mohamed El Marabti from Renaissance Berkane with 42 passes, and Amin Zehhazouh from Royal Army with 39 passes.
Anas Zniti, the goalkeeper for Raja Casablanca, maintains remarkable numbers among league goalkeepers, with the lowest goals conceded rate (0.5 per game), the most clean sheets (13 matches), and the highest save success rate (81 percent).
Meanwhile, Ashraf El Halali, the goalkeeper for Youssoufia Berrechid, is deemed the most active in ball retrievals (79) and the highest number of saves in a single match (11 saves) in a match against Raja Casablanca in round 16.
Ayoub El Mouden, the defender for Moghreb Tetouan, is the player with the most ball recoveries (359 times in 21 matches). Ismail Khaoui, a player for Ittihad Tanger, leads the list of most shots this season with 68 shots, followed by Raja Casablanca’s Noufel Zarhoni (64), and Royal Army’s Hamza Ikaman (52).

Regarding the list of players with the most goal contributions since the start of the season, Yacine Bouzouk, a player for Raja Casablanca, leads with 8 goals and 7 assists, followed by Raja’s Rabii Hirri with 9 goals and 3 assists.
Zouhair Marour leads the list of players with the most successful passes this season with 1555 passes, followed by his teammate Hirri with 1543 passes, and Ismail El Mokadem, a player for Raja Casablanca, with 1409 passes.
