Bournemouth are working to sign France-born defender of Guinean descent, Bafodé Diakité.

Sources have indicated that a deal would be struck and completed by next week once French Ligue 1 side PSG signs Illia Zabarnyi from the English Premier League outfit.

As reported by Foot Mercato on Thursday, August 7, a full agreement between the clubs has been reached.

Zabarnyi, who is from Ukraine, is set to sign a five-year deal worth €63 million with the Parisians in the coming days.

Once that transfer is sealed, Bournemouth will push through the €40 million signing of Diakité from Lille. The 24-year-old has already agreed personal terms and is expected to join the Vitality Stadium before the week’s end.
