Bournemouth manager Andoni Iraola has spoken highly of Ghana forward Antoine Semenyo following his Man-of-the-Match performance against Everton in the English FA Cup round 4 games.
The Black Stars forward started and lasted the entire duration of the match as the Cherries cruised to a 2-0 victory over the Toffees at the Goodison Park. He was impressive throughout the game, completing 17 of 27 passes while registering two shots on target.
The former Bristol City marksman also win six of 13 ground duels, made an interception and registered two tackles in all. Additionally, the Ghanaian forward made six clearances in the game, earning him the man of the match award.

“I think he is associating very well with Milos [Kerkez] in that left side and I am happy and I know we will try to keep him there and as long as he can continue to do the things that he is doing, he is going to be very valuable for us.” Andoni Iraola told the media.
Everton captain James Tarkowski endured a terrible afternoon. He conceded a penalty before committing a blunder for Bournemouth’ second goal of the match.
The Black Stars forward, who had ignited Bournemouth’s comeback victory on the same ground in August 2024, won and converted from the spot in the 22nd-minute mark.
Bournemouth doubled their advantage before the interval after Daniel Jebbison capitalized on Tarkowski’s mistake to slot home the second goal of the match. And with no additional goal in the much-anticipated clash, the Cherries cruised to victory, ensuring their qualification to the round 5 of the FA Cup competitions this season.
The 25-year-old Ghanaian forward has been in a scintillating form this season for the Cherries, scoring nine goals and providing four assists from 26 games across competitions.
In the FA Cup competition, Semenyo has racked up two goals and provided an assist from two appearances.
