Bouna Sarr seeks new challenge after leaving Bayern Munich
Bouna Sarr is actively pursuing a new opportunity in football following the expiration of his contract with Bayern Munich. The 32-year-old Senegalese right-back, currently a free agent, is looking for a fresh challenge and is open to engaging in a promising sports project.
Sarr, who has recently left Bayern Munich, is keen to continue his career at the highest level.
He is waiting for an appealing offer that aligns with his aspirations, emphasizing that his priority is to find a project that reignites his passion for the game rather than purely financial incentives.
In a recent interview, Sarr remarked, “You have to be honest, aware of the realities of the market, take its temperature.
Without devaluing myself, I am not in a position to ask for what I earned at Bayern, or even to come close to it.
I am looking for a project to get back on track, find pleasure, make efforts for a club, not a financier. I am open to a lot of challenges.”
Sarr’s ambition to stay in one of Europe’s top leagues is evident as he carefully considers his next move.
He expressed a willingness to return to a major club if the opportunity arises, stating, “And if one day, it allows me to play again in a big club, why not.
You know, I can only be zen; in our society, there are many people who are in poor health, in precariousness or discomfort.
Ijust want to live my passion again, because I know that the adventure is not over.”
However, Sarr has been sidelined for nine months due to injury, with his last appearance being on November 11, 2023, when he started in Bayern Munich’s 4-2 victory over Heidenheim in the Bundesliga.
Despite this layoff, Sarr remains determined to make a significant return.
With 13 international caps for the Lions of Teranga, Sarr is hopeful that a suitable opportunity will present itself as he continues his search for a new club.
