Bouna Sarr Set to Join Marseille in €1.5 Million Deal
Olympique de Marseille are on the verge of securing the services of Bouna Sarr, with the club having reached a financial agreement with FC Metz for the Guinean attacking midfielder. According to Maxifoot, the transfer fee is estimated at €1.5 million.
Sarr, 23, is expected to sign a five-year contract with the Ligue 1 side on Monday, becoming Marseille’s fifth signing of the summer following the arrivals of Georges-Kévin Nkoudou, Yohann Pelé, Lucas Ocampos, and Karim Rekik.
The dynamic midfielder was also a target for several other French clubs, including Saint-Étienne, Nantes, Lorient, and Reims, but Marseille have moved swiftly to finalise the deal.
Sarr’s move marks a significant step up after his solid performances with Metz, and he is expected to bring added pace, energy, and creativity to OM’s attacking options as the club reshapes its squad for the upcoming season.
