Raja Casablanca defender Mohamed Boulkoust has called on the club’s supporters to back the team as they prepare to begin the new Moroccan league season against Renaissance Zemamra.
Raja will host Zemamra next Saturday in the opening round of the National Professional Championship, with Boulkoust confident that the squad has adapted well to the methods of new Spanish coach Paco Jimenez.
Boulkoust praises new Raja coach
Boulkoust believes Jimenez has brought changes to the team’s approach since taking charge.
“The new coach changed the work methodology, and all the players felt very comfortable and adapted to it… We will play on our home ground and in front of our fans, and we hope for their support in order to have a good season.”
The Raja defender also expressed his admiration for Jimenez and said the players have responded positively to his methods.
Raja count on fans for strong start
With the first match of the season taking place at home, Boulkoust hopes the support from Raja’s fans will help the team make a positive start to the campaign.
“We hope it will be a good year, and we don’t feel any pressure because we will be playing at home in front of our fans, and we hope they will support us to deliver a good season.”
Raja will be looking to begin the campaign with a victory when they welcome Renaissance Zemamra next Saturday.
