ASO Chlef has completed the signings of Tarek Bouabta and Mokhtar Belkhiter in a flurry of activity just before the closure of the Algerian summer transfer window. The two experienced defenders are set to bolster the Reds and Whites’ defense for the upcoming season.

Tarek Bouabta, a seasoned defender with a varied career, joins ASO Chlef from Bahrain’s Al-Khaldiya FC, where he spent just one season.

The Dar El Beida-born player returns to the Algerian Ligue 1 after a two-year stint in the Persian Gulf, during which he also featured for Kuwait’s Al-Arabi.

Bouabta, who previously played for Paradou AC, signs with ASO Chlef as a free agent. However, the club has not disclosed the length of his contract.

Mokhtar Belkhiter, another significant addition to ASO Chlef’s defensive lineup, arrives from CR Belouizdad, where he accumulated considerable experience.

The 32-year-old defender, who will reinforce the right side of ASO Chlef’s backline, brings with him a wealth of knowledge and skill from his four seasons with CR Belouizdad.

Like Bouabta, the terms of Belkhiter’s contract have not been made public by the club.

These last-minute acquisitions reflect ASO Chlef’s commitment to strengthening its squad as it gears up for the challenges of the new season. With

the addition of Bouabta and Belkhiter, the team aims to solidify its defensive capabilities, crucial for its ambitions in the Algerian Ligue 1.

The signings of Bouabta and Belkhiter are seen as strategic moves by ASO Chlef’s management, who have recognized the need for experienced defenders to navigate the competitive landscape of Algerian football.

Bouabta’s return to the domestic league is particularly noteworthy, as his international experience in the Persian Gulf is expected to bring a new dimension to ASO Chlef’s defense.

Belkhiter’s move to ASO Chlef also marks a significant chapter in his career. Having established himself as a reliable right-back at CR Belouizdad, his transition to ASO Chlef is anticipated to provide the team with much-needed stability and depth on the right flank.

Both players are expected to integrate quickly into the squad, bringing their expertise and leadership to a team eager to make its mark in the league.

The addition of Bouabta and Belkhiter signals ASO Chlef’s determination to compete at the highest level, with the club making it clear that they are not leaving anything to chance as they prepare for the season ahead.

ASO Chlef supporters will be keenly watching how these new recruits adapt to their roles and contribute to the team’s overall performance.

With the transfer window now closed, the focus shifts to how Bouabta and Belkhiter will impact the club’s fortunes in the months to come.
