Maghreb Fez returned to the summit of the Botola Pro standings on Sunday following a hard-fought victory over Ittihad Touarga in Round 20 of the league campaign.

The club from the scientific capital took full advantage of Wydad AC’s derby victory against Raja CA to climb back to first place in the standings.

Hamza Ait Allal scored the decisive goal in the 66th minute to hand MAS an important away victory in Rabat.

The result moves Maghreb Fez onto 41 points at the top of the table, while Ittihad Touarga remain rooted in 16th place with 13 points.

Renaissance Berkane Claim Valuable Away Win

In another fixture, Renaissance Berkane secured a valuable 2-0 away victory against CODM Meknès.

Paul Bassin opened the scoring for Berkane in the 15th minute as the visitors produced a solid display away from home.

The victory lifts Renaissance Berkane to 37 points and into fifth place in the Botola Pro standings, while CODM Meknès remain on 27 points in seventh position after the home defeat.
