Botola Pro: Refereeing Committee appoint officials for AS FAR vs RS Berkane clash
The Central Refereeing Committee has announced the officiating teams for the postponed fixtures from the 12th round of the Botola Pro “Inwi,” headlined by the highly anticipated showdown between AS FAR and RS Berkane.
Referee Jalal Jaid has been appointed to take charge of the clash, assisted by Mustafa Akarkad and Rihane Ashraf. Video Assistant Referee duties will be handled by Mohamed Baroudi, with Abdel Samad Abirton serving as assistant.
In the other scheduled fixture, Azzedine Boulefid will officiate the encounter between Olympique Safi and Renaissance Zemamra, alongside assistants Boujemaa Salah and Aziz Bounouala.
The Safi clash is set to kick off at 18:00 on Wednesday, while the headline fixture between AS FAR and RS Berkane will follow at 20:00, as both matches carry significant weight in the ongoing league campaign.
This meeting adds another chapter to the growing rivalry between the two teams, who have already faced each other in high-pressure encounters this season.
Notably, AS FAR recently overcame Berkane in continental competition, securing qualification for the CAF Champions League final despite suffering a narrow defeat in the second leg.
That achievement marked a significant return for the Rabat-based club to the top tier of African football after years away, further raising expectations ahead of their domestic campaign.
With both sides aiming to assert themselves in the title race, the upcoming clash promises intensity and high stakes as AS FAR look to build on their recent success and Berkane seek a strong response.
