Raja Casablanca were held to a 0-0 draw by Union Yaacoub Mansour on Friday in the 12th round of the Botola Pro D1 “Inwi” at the Mohammed V Complex.
The stalemate denied Raja the opportunity to move clear at the top of the table, but the point earned sees the Casablanca side provisionally share first place.
The Greens now have 20 points from 11 matches and are level with Maghreb de Fes, who have played 10 games, and Wydad Casablanca, who have played eight.
In a closely contested encounter, neither side was able to find a breakthrough despite sustained efforts.
Raja, playing at home, sought to impose their rhythm but were unable to convert possession into goals.
Union Yaacoub Mansour, meanwhile, remained disciplined defensively to secure a valuable point away from home.
For the visitors, the draw provides a modest lift in the standings.
The Rabat-based club move up to 14th place with seven points from 11 matches, level with Union de Touarga, who have also played 11 games.
The result maintains a tightly packed race at the summit of Morocco’s top flight.
With several leading teams having played fewer matches, the balance of the table remains delicate as the season progresses.
Raja’s inability to convert home advantage into three points may be viewed as a missed opportunity in an increasingly competitive campaign.
However, remaining level at the top keeps them firmly in contention as attention turns to the upcoming fixtures.
As the Botola Pro D1 continues, margins appear slim both at the summit and in the lower half of the standings, where every point could prove decisive in shaping the outcome of the season.
