Bosnia and Herzegovina beat Romania as Sweden overcome Poland in Nations League

Bosnia and Herzegovina claimed their first win of the Nations League campaign by beating Romania 4-2 in the second round of the group stage.

Armin Gigovic, Tarik Muharemovic, Haris Tabakovic and Ermin Mamic were on target for Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Daniel Birligea and Alexandru Cicaldau scored Romania’s goals, but the defeat extended their difficult start to the competition. Romania have now lost both of their matches, following a 2-1 defeat by Sweden in the opening round.

Bosnia and Herzegovina, meanwhile, followed up their goalless draw with Poland in the first round by taking all three points.

Sweden beat Poland

Sweden also recorded their second victory of the campaign, beating Poland 3-1 in the other match from the group.

Viktor Gyokeres, Yasin Ayari and Benjamin Nygren scored for Sweden, while Sebastian Szymanski registered Poland’s only goal.

Sweden had begun the Nations League with a 2-1 win against Romania, while Poland drew 0-0 with Bosnia and Herzegovina in their opening fixture.

Sweden lead the group with six points. Bosnia and Herzegovina are second with four goals, followed by Poland in third with one point. Romania are bottom without a point.
