Borussia Dortmund striker Serhou Guirassy has rejected speculation linking him with a move to the Saudi Pro League, insisting he has received no approach and remains focused on his objectives with the Bundesliga club.
Speaking to Sky Sport Germany, the 28-year-old Guinea international, who has 22 caps and nine goals for his country, said reports of an imminent transfer to the Middle East were unfounded.
“There is often a lot of talk about a transfer to Saudi Arabia, but I haven’t heard anything,” the former Stade Rennais forward explained. “People constantly ask me questions about it, but I have never been made aware of any offer.”
Guirassy, who joined Dortmund earlier this year, emphasised that any potential transfer negotiations are handled entirely by his representatives. “I don’t deal with these matters personally,” he said. “If there is contact, it would be my brother and my agent managing it. It’s not my responsibility, so I can’t confirm whether there has been any interest.”
While conceding that interest from Saudi clubs is “possible,” the striker was clear about his priorities for the coming season. “I’m happy here at BVB,” he said. “I want to win titles.”
Guirassy’s comments come amid growing speculation that several Bundesliga players could be targeted by Saudi Pro League teams before the close of the transfer window.
However, the Dortmund forward appears determined to play a central role in the club’s campaign both domestically and in Europe, with his focus firmly on contributing goals and silverware to Edin Terzić’s squad.
For the Yellow and Blacks, Guirassy’s public commitment offers reassurance as they aim to mount a serious challenge in the Bundesliga and progress deep into the Champions League.
The forward’s work rate, physical presence, and finishing ability have already made him a valued asset in Dortmund’s attack, and his refusal to be distracted by outside speculation underscores his dedication to the team’s ambitions.
