Borussia Dortmund are pushing to retain England international of Nigeria descent Carney Chukwuemeka in the ongoing summer transfer window.
The German outfit ate making effort to strengthen their team in an attempt to make a meaningful impact in the upcoming 2025/26 football campaign.
However, Dortmund have moved to secure the services of Chukwuemeka, who spent half of last season on loan at the club.
The Black and Yellows have sent a fresh offer to Chelsea for the acquisition of Chukwuemeka this summer. Dortmund proposed a loan deal with a mandatory €20 million buyout and a significant percentage of any future sale.
Chelsea, however, is completely dissatisfied with these terms, turning down the proposal for the midfielder’s signature.
Last season, Carney featured in 17 matches for Borussia Dortmund, scoring one goal. The German side is eager to keep him in the squad moving forward.
Chukwuemeka joined Chelsea in summer 2022, with his current expected to expire in 2028.
