Borussia Dortmund are among the clubs monitoring RC Lens centre-back Ismaelo Ganiou, with the 21-year-old attracting increasing interest across the European transfer market.
According to Ekrem Konur, several clubs have already made enquiries about the defender’s situation as his profile continues to rise.
RB Leipzig, Atalanta, Como, Olympique de Marseille, AS Monaco and Paris Saint-Germain are also following Ganiou’s performances. Tottenham, Newcastle United, Fulham and Brentford have monitored his development throughout 2026.
The interest extends beyond clubs directly linked with a possible move. BlueCo, the ownership group that includes Chelsea, and City Football Group are also tracking the defender.
Ganiou’s growing reputation reflects his emergence as one of the most highly regarded young defenders in European football. The player, who has Burkinabe heritage, is under contract with RC Lens until 2030 and has already made five appearances for France Under-21s.
His long-term contract gives Lens a strong negotiating position. Ganiou’s current value is estimated at about 30 million euros by Transfermarkt, although that figure could rise if competition for his signature increases.
The defender’s immediate focus will be on RC Lens’ Ligue 1 fixture against Olympique de Marseille, which is scheduled to be the club’s 10th league match of the season.
The listed odds for the game are 2.05 for a Lens victory, 3.60 for a draw and 2.95 for an Olympique de Marseille win.
