Borussia Dortmund fighting to keep Serhou Guirassy
Borussia Dortmund are pushing hard to keep Serhou Guirassy this summer, despite growing rumours that the striker wants to leave the club at the end of the season.
Reports around BVB have repeatedly suggested the forward is eyeing a move, and Sky also state that Guirassy would ideally like a change of scenery.
Dortmund, however, have no intention of simply letting him go. The club are said to be working to convince the 28-year-old to stay, with further talks between Guirassy’s camp and the board planned in the near future. Given his goal record and importance to the attack, BVB see him as a key piece for next season.
According to Sky, several concrete enquiries have already arrived for the Guinea international, including interest from Tottenham Hotspur, AC Milan and Fenerbahce. These teams, though, are not among the small group of clubs reportedly able to trigger the release clause in his contract, believed to be in the 35 to 40 million euro range. That means they would need to negotiate directly with Dortmund, who are currently unwilling to sit at the table – underlining how determined the Bundesliga side are to avoid losing their main striker.
