Borussia Dortmund dismisses Serhou Guirassy exit talk
Borussia Dortmund have moved quickly to calm growing speculation around Serhou Guirassy, with club officials insisting there is no offer on the table and no plan to sell the striker.
Rumours of interest from Fenerbahce had intensified after public comments during the Turkish club’s presidential race, but Dortmund say the noise has not changed their position.
Lars Ricken made it clear that the club values Guirassy highly after two strong seasons in yellow and black. The 30-year-old has been one of Dortmund’s most productive players, contributing directly to 75 goals and scoring 60 himself across his first two campaigns.
Fenerbahçe’s interest has been made public by Hakan Safi, who has spoken about contact with the player’s camp and suggested more talks could follow. Reports in Germany have also linked Guirassy with a desire to move on, adding more pressure to the story.
Even so, Dortmund are in a strong position. His reported release clause of 35 million euros does not apply to Turkish clubs, which means the Bundesliga side could set their own price if negotiations ever begin.
