Borel Setche Tcheumeni: AFC Compiegne sign right-back on free transfer from Chambly B

AFC Compiegne have completed the signing of right-back Borel Setche Tcheumeni from FC Chambly B on a free transfer ahead of the 2026-27 campaign.

The 24-year-old defender, who holds both Cameroonian and French nationality, joins the Compiegne side from the reserve set-up at Chambly, remaining in the French football pyramid. The move was finalised on 7 July 2026 and involves no transfer fee.

Setche Tcheumeni, born in Douala on 21 October 2001, is primarily deployed at right-back and strengthens Compiegnes options in defence. His arrival continues a steady rise through regional French clubs over the past few seasons, underlining his experience at this level of the game.

Before his spell with Chambly B, Setche Tcheumeni spent the 2025-26 season at US Choisy-au-Bac following a move from US Breteuil in 2023. He had earlier joined Breteuil from US Escaudain in 2022, building up regular experience across several sides in northern France.

The move to Compiegne represents the latest step in a career that has so far been rooted in French football, with the defender now adding another established regional club to his CV. Setche Tcheumeni is registered with Compiegne for the 2026-27 season.
