Boreham Wood winger Abdulmalik attracts Djurgarden interest

English-Nigerian winger Abdul Abdulmalik is the subject of transfer interest from Djurgarden, with the Swedish club linked with a move for the Boreham Wood player.

Abdulmalik, 23, plays on the left wing for the National League side and has been with Boreham Wood since joining from Millwall Under-21s in July 2024. The move was completed as a free transfer.

He has made 54 National League appearances, scoring 13 goals and providing seven assists. He has also featured in the National League play-offs and National League Cup, scoring twice in three play-off appearances and once in three cup matches.

Abdulmalik was part of the Boreham Wood side that won the National League Cup, while his wider record includes appearances in the National League South and FA Cup.

Djurgarden compete in Sweden’s Allsvenskan, and the reported interest would represent a move abroad for a player whose senior career has so far been based in England. Before joining Boreham Wood, Abdulmalik spent time at Wealdstone on loan from Millwall during the 2023-24 season.

The winger began his development at Millwall, progressing from the club’s youth side to the Under-21s before making the move to Boreham Wood. He remains a Boreham Wood player, with the reported Djurgarden interest yet to develop into a confirmed transfer.
