Having made 21 Ligue 1 appearances for Bordeaux this season, Younousse Sankharé has been sidelined since the arrival of new coach Paulo Sousa. Latest reports suggest the Senegalese international will likely be forced out this summer.
An idea that is not to the liking of the entourage of the 29-year-old player who met with the Bordeaux management this week with a clear message: Sankharé has no intention of leaving.
“Today, Bordeaux remains his priority. Period. He feels very good here in the club but also in the city,” warned a member of the Sankharé clan, in comments relayed by 20 Minutes.
Under contract with Bordeaux until June 2021, Younousse Sankharé will have no choice but to leave if he continues to be sidelined. He is reportedly being followed by a Spanish club.
