Thomas Touré Reflects on Pre-Season Form After Scoring Again for Bordeaux
Young Bordeaux forward Thomas Touré is making the most of pre-season as he continues to impress in the Girondins’ friendly matches. Following another goal in the team’s second warm-up game, Touré shared his thoughts on the performance and preparation so far.
Speaking to Girondins TV, the 20-year-old praised the role of teammate Grégory Sertic in setting up his latest goal. “Greg put me in with a perfect pass. We had to finish it,” said Touré, acknowledging the quality of the build-up play. “We had a lot of chances. These are still warm-up matches, but the most important thing will be to finish them in the league.”
Touré’s form is giving Bordeaux fans reason to be optimistic ahead of the new Ligue 1 season. With his sharpness in front of goal and positive attitude, he appears determined to earn a more prominent role in the squad under manager Willy Sagnol.
As pre-season progresses, all eyes will be on whether Touré can translate his friendly match performances into consistent contributions during the competitive campaign. For now, his preparations are right on track.
