Lamine Sané Extends Bordeaux Contract Until 2017
Bordeaux — Lamine Sané has committed his future to Girondins de Bordeaux by extending his contract until June 2017. The 27-year-old defender and midfielder, who has made one Ligue 1 appearance this season, had been linked with a possible departure but has chosen to continue his journey with the club.
Sané first made his mark with Bordeaux in December 2010, appearing alongside his younger brother Salif during a Ligue 1 fixture against FC Sochaux. A memorable moment came on January 30, 2011, when he scored his maiden goal for Bordeaux — a crucial header from a Jaroslav Plašil corner — securing a 2-0 victory over OGC Nice.
With one year remaining on his previous deal, this two-year extension underlines the club’s faith in Sané as a versatile player capable of contributing both in defence and midfield.
