Hadi Sacko Nears Move from Bordeaux to Sporting Portugal
French striker Hadi Sacko, of Senegalese descent, appears close to leaving Bordeaux as he considers a loan move to Sporting Portugal, expected to be finalised this Thursday.
In an interview with L’Equipe, Sacko, whose contract with Bordeaux runs until next year, explained his motivation for seeking a new challenge away from the Ligue 1 club. “It’s a considered sporting choice. I wanted to go elsewhere, needed a new challenge, even if coach Willy Sagnol told me that he was counting on me,” he said.
Sacko’s loan spell at Le Havre last season reinforced his desire for regular first-team football. “I’m young, I’m leaving to learn and to play. Sporting is involved in several competitions, and I hope to gain some playing time. I know it’s a big challenge but I need it,” he added.
The move would mark a significant step in Sacko’s career as he aims to develop his game and establish himself at a club competing on multiple fronts.
