During this international break week, Girondins de Bordeaux’s training session saw the introduction of some new faces on Wednesday. With several players away on international duty, coach Francis Gillot opted to call up a few young talents from the club’s training center and the CFA squad.
One notable addition to the training session was Pape Tafsir Thiombane, a promising young talent from Senegal who recently joined the club. Thiombane, a left-handed attacking midfielder, completed his move to Girondins from the Alphabet Sports Academy in Senegal just last Friday.
Although he arrived only recently, Thiombane wasted no time integrating into the team and participated in the training session alongside the senior squad. It is expected that he will be officially qualified to play for the club by next week, once all administrative procedures are completed.
