Boost for Kaizer Chiefs as Gaston Sirino returns for blockbuster Confederation Cup clash against Zamalek
South African outfit Kaizer Chiefs have been boosted by the return of experienced Uruguayan midfielder Gaston Sirino ahead of their blockbuster CAF Confederation Cup clash against Zamalek.
In a highly competitive clash on Sunday, November 28, the Soweto giants will play host to the Egyptian football powerhouse in matchday two of the group stage.
Sirino, who missed the sides’ group opener against Al Masry is expected to return to action for crucial game against Zamalek, coming as a huge boost for the club.
For the match at Suez Stadium, the Uruguayan was suspended for bookings he received in the preliminary stages of the competition.
His return come as a massive boost for Kaizer Chiefs coach Ben Youssef Khalid, who attribute their defeat against Al Masry to lack of experience.
Sirino is loaded in that regard as he has been a CAF Champions League regular while with former club Mamelodi Sundowns.
The midfielder is expected to unleash his creative and technical ability to bare at Peter Mokaba Stadium, with Kaizer Chiefs seeking for their first group stage win against the Egyptian side, who won against Zesco United 1-0 last weekend.
