Arsenal have been handed a huge boost in their quest to sign Spanish-Ghanaian forward Nico Williams.
The club has been linked with a move to sign the Athletic Club youngster since last summer.
The forward, regarded as one of the best young talents in Europe, has also been on the radar of several clubs, including Chelsea and Liverpool.
Latest information gathered indicate that Chelsea have pulled out of the race to sign Nico Williams and now want to focus on securing the signature of Senegalese prodigy Assane Diao.
The club is said to be willing to pay €50 million for the Como star.
This leaves Arsenal in a good position to push to sign Nico Williams in the summer transfer window.
The Gunners must, however, prepare to spend big to make the deal happen, as Athletic Club will be eager to cash in on the talented forward.
Everything will become clear once the summer transfer window comes around.
