Taher Mohamed Taher returns to Al Ahly training

Al Ahly winger Taher Mohamed Taher has returned to group training after completing his rehabilitation from an elbow injury.

Taher sustained the injury following Al Ahly’s Egyptian Premier League match against Abu Qir Fertilizers, forcing him to undergo a period of treatment and rehabilitation.

Al Ahly club doctor Ahmed Gab confirmed that the 28-year-old has completed his physical therapy programme and is now gradually returning to full team training.

The winger has started participating in group sessions as the technical staff carefully manages his workload to ensure he regains full fitness without suffering a setback.

His return comes at an important stage of Al Ahly’s preparations, with the club using the current international break to improve the squad’s physical and technical readiness ahead of a busy run of fixtures.

Al Ahly have resumed training at the Mokhtar El Tetsh Stadium in Gezira and are scheduled to play two friendly matches during the break.

The Egyptian giants will face Libyan side Al Ittihad Misurata and Misr El Makasa as part of their preparations for their upcoming Egypt Capital Cup encounter against Petrojet.

The coaching staff is expected to use the friendly matches to assess the fitness of several players while giving others valuable playing time ahead of the resumption of competitive action.

Al Ahly are scheduled to face Petrojet on October 7 in the first round of the League Cup before returning to Egyptian Premier League action against rivals Zamalek on October 11.

Taher’s return to training provides another attacking option for Al Ahly as they prepare for the crucial fixtures ahead.

The Red Devils currently sit third in the Egyptian Premier League with 13 points, level with second-placed Zamalek and two points behind leaders Pyramids.

With the club entering a demanding period of the season, Al Ahly will be hoping Taher can complete his comeback successfully and return to competitive action soon.
