Bohemians Prague sign Egypt striker Mohamed Yasser from Sigma Olomouc

Bohemians Prague have signed Egyptian striker Mohamed Yasser from Sigma Olomouc on a three-year contract running until 2029.

The Czech club announced the move as Yasser begins a new chapter after only one season with Sigma. The forward joined Sigma after leaving Egyptian club Al Ahly, but has now moved on after making 11 appearances during the previous campaign and scoring once.

Yasser’s agreement with Bohemians Prague covers three seasons, keeping him at the club until 2029. The transfer represents his latest step in a career that has included spells with Sigma and Tbilisi.

It will be Yasser’s third experience in the Czech football set-up following his time with Sigma and Tbilisi. Despite beginning his career at Al Ahly, he never made a first-team appearance for the Egyptian club.

The striker has scored 13 goals in Czech football overall and has also provided seven assists. His record includes the single goal he registered during his season with Sigma, where he featured 11 times.

Bohemians Prague currently sit 12th in the Czech league table with five points. Their next fixture is against Jablonec on Wednesday, in the fourth round of the league season.

Yasser joins Bohemians as the club look to strengthen their attacking options and improve their position in the table. His contract length indicates that the club view the move as a long-term addition, while the transfer gives the Egyptian forward an opportunity to establish himself further in Czech football.

His departure from Sigma comes after just one campaign with the club, following his move from Al Ahly. Although his involvement last season was limited to 11 appearances, his broader record in the Czech game includes 13 goals and seven assists.

The move also continues Yasser’s progression away from the Egyptian club where he developed but did not play for the senior side. Since leaving Al Ahly, he has gained experience with Sigma and Tbilisi before securing the opportunity to continue his career with Bohemians Prague.

Bohemians will face Jablonec in their next league match as they attempt to build on their current total of five points. The fixture will be the fourth round of the campaign and Yasser’s new club begins it in 12th place.
