After being relieved of his duties as head coach of the Ugandan national team three months ago, Scottish manager Bobby Williamson wasted no time in finding a new position. He has been appointed as the new coach of the Kenyan club Gor Mahia. The club’s president, Ambrose Rachier, confirmed the appointment, stating, “We were in discussions, and I can confirm that he will be the new coach of the club.”
Williamson takes over from Croatian Zdravko Logarusic, signing a one-year deal and set to arrive next Monday for his official presentation to the press the following day. He will be assisted by local coach John “Bobby” Ogolla. Williamson previously coached Uganda for seven years before being dismissed in April.
