Barcelona have been dealt with a massive blow following injury setback to France international of Guinean descent Jules Kounde.
Kounde was forced off with an injury before the half hour mark when his outfit played out a 3-3 thrilling draw at the Olympic Stadium on Wednesday with Inter Milan.
According to reports, Kounde will be out for at least three weeks due to a thigh injury sustained in the Champions League semifinal first leg tie, ruling him out of the return clash to be held at the Giuseppe Meazza on Tuesday, May 6, 2025.
Barcelona manager Hansi Flick initially attributed Kounde’s injury to packed schedule, but it appears the injury is a bit serious.
The 26-year-old defender’s season is almost over. Aside missing the return clash against Inter Milan, Kounde is expected to also miss the El Classico against Real Madrid.
Kounde has made 52 appearances for Barcelona this season, scoring four goals and delivering eight assists across the period.
