Blaise Yameogo: Burkina Faso winger joins Pausesti Otasau on free transfer after spell without club

Burkina Faso winger Blaise Yameogo has joined Romanian side Pausesti Otasau on a free transfer after a spell without a club.

The 32-year-old left-sided attacker, who prefers to operate as a left winger, has signed for the club after leaving Alexandria in the summer of 2024 and spending the intervening period unattached. His move to Pausesti Otasau was completed on 31 July 2026.

Yameogo brings significant experience in Romanian football, having previously featured in the top flight and lower divisions. Across stints that included time at Chindia and CSC Selimbar, he made more than 90 competitive appearances in Romania, with outings in the SuperLiga, Liga 2 and domestic cup competitions.

During his time in the Romanian top tier, Yameogo totalled over 70 league matches, contributing goals and assists and regularly featuring across full campaigns and relegation rounds. He has also played in promotion and relegation play-offs, as well as in the Cup, underlining his familiarity with the local landscape and its demands.

Born in Boudry and standing at 1.81m, Yameogo began his professional career in Burkina Faso with RC Kadiogo and EF Ouagadougou before moving to Europe with Moldovan side Zimbru Chisinau in 2018. He later established himself in Romania from 2019 onwards, adding spells at Chindia, CSC Selimbar, Gloria Bistrita and Alexandria.

Yameogo now links up with Pausesti Otasau as a free agent signing, adding depth and experience on the left flank to their attacking options.
