Blackburn Rovers have strengthened their Under-21 squad with the signing of promising winger Osman Kamara from Arsenal after a successful trial spell at Ewood Park.
The 19-year-old has penned a two-and-a-half-year contract running until June 2028, with the option to extend his stay by a further year, underlining the club’s long-term belief in his potential.
Kamara arrives after more than a decade in Arsenal’s academy, having joined the London club in the 2014-15 season and emerging as one of their longest-serving youth prospects.
The London-born wide man has already tasted international youth football, representing Sierra Leone at the 2025 Under-20 Africa Cup of Nations. He hit double figures in goals during the 2023-24 campaign and, despite an injury-affected 2024-25 season, still managed two goals in 16 appearances, including a standout strike against Inter Milan in the UEFA Youth League.
This season, Kamara featured regularly for Arsenal’s Under-21s and scored in an EFL Trophy tie versus Exeter City before moving on trial to Blackburn in January.
He made an instant impact by netting on his debut in a 5-0 Premier League 2 win over Birmingham City, convincing Rovers to secure his services permanently.
