The Black Queens of Ghana have dropped one place in the latest FIFA Women’s World Rankings.
In the rankings, the Queens have fallen from 66th to 67th despite securing a bronze medal at the 2024 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON).
While the slip may come as a surprise following their strong finish at the tournament in Morocco, the Black Queens have held on to their position as the sixth-best women’s national team in Africa.
Under the guidance of head coach Kim Lars, Ghana recovered from a shaky start at WAFCON 2024 to clinch third place.
With qualifiers already underway for the next WAFCON edition, the Black Queens will be eager to capitalise on their recent momentum and push for a return to higher global standing in the upcoming months.
The Black Queens are also eager to qualify for the next edition of the FIFA Women’s World Cup.
