Bisha coach: accused of incitement, President: “Professionalism” our promise

Yousri Ben Kahla, the former coach of Bisha’s first football team, has denied the allegations leveled against him by the club’s management, which led to his dismissal on Sunday, as revealed to “Al Riyadiah.”

The Tunisian coach stated, “The club’s management accused me of inciting players due to delayed salaries, which is untrue.

After the match against As Sadd last Saturday in the second division league, I asked the players to work hard because we are close to promotion to the Yellow League.

I informed Mohamed Saif, the director of football, to inform Hassan Al-Suairi, the club president if I wouldn’t accompany the team on their trip if the players didn’t receive their salaries.”

“I arrived at the club before the tenth round and worked hard for promotion. Despite a series of victories, I received only 14 days’ salary.

I sent a letter to the professionalism committee to terminate my contract, and the deadline expired.

Still, I didn’t leave out of respect for the entity and the players with whom I wanted to qualify,” he added.

Ben Kahla also noted that he wasn’t sure if his message reached the club president incorrectly, emphasizing that his contract included a bonus for promotion to the Yellow League.

On the other hand, Hassan Al-Suairi, the club’s president, denied the Tunisian coach’s statements, stating that he was the main reason behind inciting the players.

Al-Suairi told “Al Riyadiah,” “The coach incited the players not to attend training and informed them of his refusal to travel with the team to the Falcon match.

This is recorded in a report written by the football director, and we will not accept it.

The management did not attend the meeting, and we sent all the evidence to the Professionalism Committee to take the necessary action.”

He affirmed that the Tunisian coach did not file any complaint regarding his delayed salaries to terminate his contract, explaining that the coach incited the players to seek dismissal after losing hope in the team’s promotion.

Regarding Ben Kahla’s work, the club president stated, “The coach was not professional in his work with us.

Contracts are the law between the contracting parties; fulfill your obligations in your contract, then demand your rights.

If we examine his coaching career with Hittin and Al-Kawkab clubs, we will see that it is a scenario he repeats to collect the remaining amount of his contract.

Additionally, there is no bonus for the coach in case of promotion, and his penalty clause is only one month’s salary.”

Bisha signed with Ben Kahla on November 18 after conducting coaching trials with prominent Saudi clubs including Riyadh, Al-Fateh, Abha, Al-Batin, and Safa.

Ben Kahla led Bisha for 16 rounds, winning 12, drawing 4, and not losing any matches with the team.

The southern team occupies the fourth position in Group B of the second division league, with 47 points, one point behind third-placed Garsh and Diriyah, with four matches remaining in the championship.
