New Ghana coach Carlos Queiroz officially unveilled

New Ghana national football team head coach Carlos Queiroz has described his appointment as the toughest task he has faced in his managerial career.

The experienced Portuguese tactician was recently named to lead the Black Stars as Ghana intensifies preparations for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

Queiroz was officially unveiled by the Ghana Football Association during a press conference at the Alisa Hotel on Thursday, April 23, marking the beginning of his tenure.

Addressing the media, the coach acknowledged the immense expectations that come with leading Ghana, but made it clear he is ready to embrace the pressure.

“Since I arrived, I have felt the vibration. I realised the soul of the Black Stars is huge, and as a result, the expectations of the Black Stars are huge. This is the biggest challenge of my entire career…..Because in Ghana they don’t expect nothing but to win, win, and win,” the Portuguese coach said.

Carlos Queiroz added, “I can promise that I will bring my forty years of experience to help.”

He also assured fans that his team will reflect commitment and determination on the pitch, stressing that while Ghana possesses quality players, success will depend on discipline and hard work.

With his journey now underway, Queiroz faces the immediate task of building a competitive and resilient squad capable of meeting the high expectations of Ghanaian supporters.
