South Africa can breathe a sigh of relief following Banyana Banyana players return to training ahead of the 2024 Women’s African Cup of Nations.

The players refused to train on Friday in Morocco over unpaid bonuses stem from April 2025. However, the president of the South African Football Association (SAFA) president Danny Jordaan stepped up and salvage the situation.

In a dramatic turn of an event, the players returned to training on Saturday following a swift meeting with the South African FA leader.

The team will now continue its preparations in Casablanca, before heading to Oujda, where the group stage matches of the Women’s Africa Cup of Nations will take place.
