Beto inspired by electric atmosphere as Everton sweep Chelsea aside

Everton striker Beto was full of praise for the vibrant atmosphere at Hill Dickinson Stadium after playing a key role in a commanding 3-0 win over Chelsea on Saturday.

The forward delivered a standout performance, scoring twice to become the first Everton player to net a brace at the club’s new home. Iliman Ndiaye sealed the victory with a brilliant third goal, capping a dominant display from the Toffees. The result lifts Everton to eighth place in the Premier League on 46 points, level with Brentford, just two behind sixth-placed Chelsea, and three adrift of Liverpool in fifth.

“It was like the last game at Goodison,” Beto told evertontv. “The players matched the energy the fans gave us, so I’m really happy. For me, it’s special to play for the Club. It’s a God gift. He gave me this opportunity to be here and be the number nine at the Club.”

Beto also credited supporters for lifting his form during a difficult spell.

“The season wasn’t going so well, and they kept saying to me: ‘Keep going, Beto! Keep working!’ Today, I was rewarded with two goals, one assist, and a good performance.”
