Beter Nashed: Egypt teenager steps up to Akritas Chloraka first team

Egyptian midfielder Beter Nashed has joined Cypriot side Akritas Chloraka’s senior team from Akritas Chloraka Under-19s. The 17-year-old central midfielder moves into the first-team squad of the 2. Division club as part of his progression through the ranks.

Nashed’s promotion was completed on 27 July 2026 and formalises his elevation from youth to senior football with Akritas. The move keeps him at the same club structure but marks his first step into the professional game in Cyprus’ second tier.

Born in Beni Suef, Egypt, on 31 August 2008, Nashed has been registered primarily as a central midfielder and is right-footed. Standing at 1.75m, he will now be available for selection in a senior environment for the first time, having previously represented Akritas at Under-19 level.

The Egypt youth player, who holds Egyptian nationality, has signed into the first-team squad on a deal running until 31 May 2027. His new contract ties him to the Chloraka-based club for the coming season and beyond, giving Akritas control over his development as he adapts to senior football.

Nashed’s step up from Akritas Chloraka U19 to Akritas Chloraka’s senior side is now complete, with his contract in place through to the end of May 2027.
