Ghanaian midfielder Bernard Mensah has rejoined Saudi Pro League side Al Riyadh, with the club confirming his return through an announcement on social media.

Its Arabic message translates as: “Once again, Mensah wears the Al Riyadh shirt.”

The 31-year-old previously played for Al Riyadh during the 2024-25 campaign, recording five goals in 29 league appearances. His return brings proven top-flight experience to the squad after a season with Al-Nasr, whom he joined in August 2025 on a contract due to run until June 2027.

Mensah began his professional career in Portugal at Vitoria Guimaraes, making more than 60 appearances and scoring six goals between 2014 and 2016. Atletico Madrid signed him in 2015 on a six-year deal, though he spent that period on loan at Getafe, Vitoria Guimaraes and Kasımpasa.

He later became a key figure in Turkey with Kayserispor, where he scored 15 league goals in 82 matches. A 2020-21 loan at Besiktas also delivered silverware, as Mensah won the Super Lig title and Turkish Cup.

His most prolific Saudi season came at Al-Tai, where he scored 14 league goals in 2023-24. Al Riyadh will hope his creativity, experience and scoring threat make an immediate impact.
