Benson Anang: Ghana defender without club linked with move to Omonia Aradippou

Ghanaian right-back Benson Anang, currently without a club after leaving Cypriot side Akritas Chloraka, has been linked with a move to Cyprus League outfit Omonia Aradippou.

Anang became a free agent on 1 July 2026 following his departure from Akritas Chloraka, opening the door for a potential free transfer within Cyprus. A move to Omonia Aradippou would keep the 26-year-old in a league he has featured in regularly over recent seasons.

The Accra-born defender, who stands at 1.72m and plays predominantly at right-back, is valued at 175,000. A right-footed specialist, he would offer Omonia Aradippou a natural option on the flank should the club decide to strengthen that area of the pitch.

Anang has spent much of the last three years in Cypriot football, first joining Othellos Athienou in July 2023 before moving to Akritas Chloraka ahead of the 202526 campaign, either side of a spell with Georgian side Dinamo Tbilisi.

Earlier in his career, Anang developed in Europe with Slovak club MSK Zilina, where his market value peaked at 350,000 during his teenage years before later fluctuating as he moved across leagues and clubs.

Discussions over a transfer have not been finalised, and for now Anang remains a free agent being monitored by Omonia Aradippou.
