Benni McCarthy is the best coach I have ever worked with – Kenya goalkeeper Farouk Shikhalo
Kenya national team goalkeeper Farouk Shikhalo has head coach for the side, Benni McCarthy, lauding his managerial skills and leadership.
The South Africa legend took over the Harambee Stars in March earlier this year after leaving Manchester United as the striker’s coach.
Under his guidance, the Harambee Stars have played 13 matches across all competitions, registering six wins, three draws, and four losses.
His efforts to rejuvenate the Harambee Stars have not gone unnoticed, earning widespread praise from both football legends and players.
Speaking to Pulse Sports, Shikhalo described the former Cape Town City and AmaZulu FC coach as the best coach he has ever worked with in his career.
“He is the best coach I have worked with, there’s no other great thing like having a coach who is a big brother, like a father, one who guides you,” said Shikhalo.
“Despite him being the manager, he has given us the environment to share anything, and he has managed to stand with us throughout our circumstances.
“That is the kind of coach we have now, a coach you can lean on.
“He has seen it, he has done it and has been there, and with all the experience he has gathered, he is guiding us well. I’m learning a lot from him,” he added.
