Benjamin Yeboah joins Resende as Ghana goalkeeper continues Portugal career

Ghana goalkeeper Benjamin Yeboah has joined Resende from Braganca, completing another move in Portugal at the age of 21.

Yeboah’s transfer was completed on 25 August 2026, and he has signed a contract with Resende running until 30 June 2027. The goalkeeper arrives after a short spell with Braganca, where he had been registered for the 2026-27 season.

He previously moved to Braganca from Esmoriz on 1 July 2026. That transfer followed his time with Esmoriz during the 2025-26 campaign, after he had left Aldeia Nova.

Yeboah joined Aldeia Nova from Pombal on 26 November 2025, having moved to Pombal from Ghanaian club Hearts of Oak in August 2024. His switch to Pombal was completed as a free transfer.

The goalkeeper began his senior career with Berekum Chelsea before joining Hearts of Oak on loan in September 2021. That loan ended in February 2022, when he returned to Hearts of Oak.

Yeboah has therefore moved between seven clubs since 2021, with Resende becoming his latest destination. His career has included spells in Ghana before a sequence of moves through Portuguese football.

At Resende, he joins a club whose current campaign includes two possible matches in Campeonato de Portugal – Serie A. He has yet to make an appearance this season, with no minutes played or goals conceded before completing the move.

The transfer gives Resende another goalkeeper option for the campaign, while Yeboah will continue his career in Portugal after leaving Braganca.

His previous recorded market value reached €25,000 during his time with Hearts of Oak and Berekum Chelsea. No transfer fee has been attached to his move from Braganca.

Yeboah is now contracted to Resende until the end of June 2027.
