Benjamin Nyarko: Ghanaian striker joins Admira Wacker from Slovan Liberec
Ghanaian centre-forward Benjamin Nyarko has joined Austrian side Admira Wacker from Slovan Liberec. The 22-year-old completes a move to the 2. Liga club after a spell in Czech football, where he gained experience across league and cup competitions.
Nyarko, a right-footed striker standing at 1.80m, links up with Admira Wacker after spending last season on the books of Slovan Liberec, having initially joined the Czech side in 2024. During his time there he also had a loan spell at Teplice, returning to Liberec earlier this summer before securing his switch to Austria.
The move marks a return to Austrian football for Nyarko, who previously played for SV Lafnitz in the 2. Liga. That stint included productive spells in domestic league action, with his performances helping earn a subsequent move to Liberec. His latest transfer comes with a current market valuation of €200,000.
Across his senior career to date, Nyarko has featured in a range of Central European competitions, including the Czech second tier, the Austrian second division and national cup tournaments. He has recorded goals and assists in each of those environments, contributing in league and play-off fixtures as well as cup ties.
Admira Wacker confirmed that Nyarko has joined the club ahead of the 2026-27 campaign, adding another attacking option to their squad as the Ghanaian begins a new chapter in Austrian football.
