Benjamin Mokulu: DR Congo-Belgian striker joins Acireale on free transfer

DR Congo-Belgian forward Benjamin Mokulu has joined Italian side Acireale on a free transfer from Heraclea. The 36-year-old centre-forward has signed a deal running until 30 June 2027 with the Serie D outfit.

Mokulu, who was born in Brussels and stands at 1.87m, moves after a spell with fellow Italian club Heraclea, continuing his career in the Italian game. The left-footed striker will be deployed through the middle for his new side, adding height and experience to Acireale’s attacking options.

The move reunites Mokulu with competitive football at a club where he is contracted for the next season, giving Acireale a seasoned frontman with both domestic and international experience. His current market value is listed at around €50,000.

Mokulu has represented DR Congo at international level and also holds Belgian nationality, reflecting his upbringing in the Belgian capital. Earlier in his career he enjoyed success in Belgium, winning the Belgian Cup in 2012 with Lokeren, one of the standout achievements of his time there.

Having completed the switch on 25 July 2026, Mokulu is now registered as an Acireale player for the 2026-27 campaign.
