Benjamin Asare starts for Ghana against Gambia in crucial AFCON 2027 qualifier

Benjamin Asare has been named in Ghana’s starting XI for their crucial second-round AFCON 2027 qualifying match against Gambia at the Accra Stadium.

The Hearts of Oak goalkeeper replaces Lawrence Ati-Zigi, who drops to the bench after starting Ghana’s defeat by Cote d’Ivoire.

Gideon Mensah captains the Black Stars, while Abdul Fatawu Issahaku, Ernest Nuamah, Brandon Thomas-Asante and Felix Afena-Gyan are also included from the start.
